It appears there is a decidedly blatant and repeated use of the statement "Mr. Trump" rather than using his executive title and name. I can't remember reading a story that didn't repeatedly hammer in "President Barack Husain Obama" every other sentence yet they continue to call "President Donald J Trump" plain old "Mr. Trump" as if he and Mr. Tapper are somehow of equivalent importance.
