Is Science of Today Actually the Fiction of Yesterday?Where does investigation and the scientific method end and the existential philosophical esoteric faith in acceptance of the unknown begin?
While it is obvious each individual has thier own threshold of knowledge and perception there is or at least used to be an objective line.
Does not the scientific method spell out that line?
Why has that line become blurred when it is so concretely defined?
Is it not the basis of corruption of objectivity when a concrete method of examination is bent and twisted for financial and ideological pursuits?
Does objectivity even really exist beyond what a consensus of gatekeepers declare others to consider as such?
Has peer review become another mechanism of political status quo perpetuation?
The Oxford Dictionaries Online defines the scientific method as "a method or procedure that has characterized natural science since the 17th century, consisting in systematic observation, measurement, and experiment, and the formulation, testing, and modification of hypotheses".
Experiments are a procedure designed to test hypotheses.
Experiments are an important tool of the scientific method
If one can not experiment physically but merely extrapolate with mathematics does one consider it an experiment or further hypothesizing?
Upon what basis does one consider theoretical physics or astronomy pseudo-science as compared to other hypothetical or non-conclusive untestable sciences and why are some called pseudo while others theoretical if not due to the political peer groups?
If mathematics is a base proof or experimentation does that not make virtual space as much an objective reality as other spaces in science considered as such?
How many unknowns are and variables of variables false, misleading, misplaced, incorrectly added, or omitted altogether when extrapolating these theoretical "experiments and measurements" as proofs of concept?
Albert Einstein to Nickola Tesla regarding thier differences is more poignant than ever these days and should be considered.
Tesla: Einstein's relativity work is a magnificent mathematical garb which fascinates, dazzles and makes people blind to the underlying errors. The theory is like a beggar clothed in purple whom ignorant people take for a king.. its exponents are brilliant men but they are metaphysicists rather than scientists.
Einstein: “No amount of experimentation can ever prove me right. A single experiment can prove me wrong.”
